History

Where do we come from and where are we going? We started our Ministry on 23 April 2006 in the Driehoek High School hall in Vanderbijlpark. Wow, if we have to look back and see how much we changed and grown since then.

We, five pastors with family and friends, would come in very early on a Sunday morning, wash the floors, line up the chairs, put out our interior design on the stage (just to brighten up the place), set up the sound which we bought with in the trailer, start to pray, start to adjust the sound…. And then wait for the people. At 9:30 am every Sunday for 4 years.

Being in the school hall taught us humility and hard work and we never regret any of it. They were blessed and good times, always filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

On 4th April 2010 we moved over to our half built, new church. With the help of most of our members (physically working themselves on the grounds) and all of the pastors and families we built our Children’s Church and most of our church hall. Our 1st service was with half a roof and no carpets, but it was awesome. Most weekends the church family would come help at the church and plant grass or paint walls etc. Hard work united us. Unfortunately at this stage, one of our pastor couples, took a calling to pastor at another church in another town. It was sad that they left but God’s plan’s are normally different than ours and so we continued to grow the Kingdom.

We have had many up’s and down’s since then. We have started certain ministries and changed some. Some types of ministries work for your church and some don’t, so changes are made. In 2015 another one of our pastors decided to open up her own church, so we are down to two.

We have an awesome team of dedicated people who work hard together to achieve what we believe, the Lord’s plan is for us. We have various ministries where each person who wants to become involved in God’s Kingdom, can find a place. We are still building.  We have just finished, after 13 years of ministry, our new offices on the church premises! We have nearly finished building our Coffee Shoppe and Book Store – Busy Bee Books!

MATTHÉÜS 4:23

23 En Jesus het deur die hele Galiléa rondgegaan en in hulle sinagoges geleer en die evangelie van die koninkryk verkondig en elke siekte en elke kwaal onder die volk genees.

Vision

Isaiah 61:1-3

1 THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

3 To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion–to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit–that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Statement of Faith – what do we believe

1. We believe

In the almighty God, Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of all creation, who has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent I am. The Redeemer of mankind who is infinitely perfect and manifests Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Isaiah 43:11 Luke 3:33)

2. We believe

That the Holy Bible (old and new testament) is the Word of God, written by men as the Holy Spirit inspired them. We believe that it authoritatively proclaims the will of God and teaches us all that is necessary for salvation and growth to spiritual maturity.  (11 Timothy 3:5-17)

3. We believe

In Jesus Christ the only Son of God the Father and shares the deity of God, who for the sake of humanity and its salvation, descended from heaven and became flesh; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. Who lived on earth, died on the cross as the sacrifice for sin, arose from the dead, ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God, represent us, as our High Priest and Advocate. (Matthew 1:23)

4. We believe

That all human beings are created in the image of God, but disobeyed and fell from the grace of God. Due to their sinful rebellion, this image marred, and sin entered the world causing not only physical death but also spiritual death. (Gen 1-3)

5. We believe

That we all have sinned and therefore we are guilty before God. Only through the shed blood of Christ Jesus and his resurrection, man can find salvation from the power of sin. Through grace, salvation and spiritual life are a gift from God, to obtain salvation we need to exercise our faith in God the father. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

6. We believe

In prosperity for the body of Christ through faith, for the spirit, soul and body. Nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken.

7. We believe

If any man is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creature, a new creation in the inward. We are also His workmanship and partakers of His divine nature. (2 Cor 5:17 \ 2 Pet 1:4)

8. We believe

In the baptism in the Holy Spirit, it results in the empowering, equipping and guidance of believers for life and service. This baptism brings the gifts or enablement’s of the Holy Spirit and their uses to the forefront of the ministry to the body of Christ. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth and is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. (Acts 1-4)

9. We believe

In divine, healing shared on the cross-of Calvary. Jesus was crucified for, our transgressions and brought forth healing not just for our bodies, but for our spirit and soul. (Acts 10:38\1 Pet 2:24\Gal 3:13\Deut 28:15-61)

10. We believe

That Jesus Christ is both Lord and Head of His Church, made up of born again believers constituted by the Holy Spirit. The body of Christ is responsible for the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel and Gods will to all people and so fulfill the great commission. (Eph 1:22-23)

11. We believe

That the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances, baptism in water and the Lords supper, to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith, that baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ, in burial and resurrection.  The Lords supper is the partaking of the emblems symbolic of the Saviour’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death, until He comes. (Mark 16:16\Acts 10:47-48\Luke 22:17-18\1Cor11:23-31)

12. We believe

That at the time appointed by God, the Church (the entire body of Christ) will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1Thess 4:13-18\24:27-30)

13. We believe

In a day of judgement when Christ will judge the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of the body and eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked. We believe in the new heaven and the new earth where God will reign in glory. (Rev 20:11-15)
